M. Joan Riddle LL.M., Legal Counsel
Joan Riddle is a lawyer and one of the owners of NICI. Joan is responsible for the legal aspects of NICI and the services it provides to its clients. She is also an experienced researcher, writer, editor and public speaker, providing NICI with an all-round resource for the services it provides to its clients. Further, as a former assistant professor of public legal education, Joan has the skills and experience to familiarize NICI’s clients with the areas of law that are of importance and significance to their projects.
Joan Riddle’s 35-year legal career includes several years as an Assistant Professor of Public Legal Education, followed by a number of years as in-house counsel for a provincial research institute, two provincial government departments, and two private engineering firms.
Ms. Riddle currently provides labour relations consulting and immigration consulting for NICI, as well as research, writing and editing in legal and law-related fields. She also maintains her own law practice as a sole practitioner providing legal services to individuals and small businesses in a variety of areas including corporate and commercial law, immigration, and wills and estates.
